Miwa Tanaka

Born in 1978. Graduated from Keio University, Faculty of Law, Department of Political Science, and joined Nikkei Home Publishing (now Nikkei BP) in 2001. As an editorial writer, I was editor in charge of the magazine "Nikkei Woman". Through my interviews and surveys, I came into contact with more than 30,000 working women. I left the company in 2012 to provide direct support for women to continue working actively. After working as a freelance writer and career counselor, in 2013, I co-founded Waris, a human resources agency that realizes diverse ways of living and working. I'm actively involved in matching freelance women with companies looking for top-quality staff and supporting the re-employment of women who have left the workforce. Waris currently has over 26,000 registered female professionals and 2000 client companies. I also give lectures and write about freelancing, parallel careers, diversity, and other related topics.
