Ms. Ota experienced research, product development and media strategy planning in Kirin Brewery Company and Kirin Seagram. She joined the Kirin Institute of Food and Lifestyle in 2007, where she now serves as head. She is the author of Consumption Trends 2014-2018 (Nikkei BP Publications; published in Japanese).
With the overarching theme of "contemplating lifestyles, and creating lifestyles," she is engaged in creating new business value and research regarding societal changes and changes in consumer behavior, together with various stakeholders such as clients, universities, and corporations. She is a graduate of University of Tokyo, Faculty of Letters, Division of Psychology and Sociology.
