With the help of many predecessor of entrepreneurs, leading companies and venture capitals, the third cohort of the APT Women Domestic Acceleration Program ended successfully! The selected five finalists will be dispatched to Singapore from January 14th to 24th 2019.

There are more than 1,200 financial institutions, such as bank and asset management companies, in Singapore and known for financial sector. It is known as the center of Innovation due to the government-led startup support.

Singapore ranked 12th in the “Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2017” published by Startup Genome, which analize the world startup ecosystem.
Not only from the Startup Genome, but also from Dell Inc., Singapore has ranked 8th for the ability to foster women entrepreneurship and it is the only city in Asia to be ranked within 10th.

Singapore is now providing the support for startups by making the brand name, “Startup SG”. They offer various kinds of support. For example, “Startup SG FOUNDER”, for those who open the business for the first time, provides the mentoring and financial support, “Startup SG TECH”, to support POC(Proof of Concept) or POV(Proof of Value) to commercialize their innovative technologies and “Startup SG TALENT”, to support visa arrangements and varieties of support from engineer and scientist in A*STAR.

Although the cost for Office space and labor is rising, environment to expand the business is well founded. For example, the low corporate tax, wealth of the well educated talents and support for the startup from the government.

APT Women Singapore Dispatch Program is arranged in a way for participants to receive professional feedbacks from local business experts to learn the local business know-hows, and opportunities to get into the local business community networks which comprised from experienced entrepreneurs, stake holders from private entities, and government officials etc.,

Through this Dispatch Program, our hope is that the participants will feel the entrepreneurial mind set and it’s local business environment to find their first step toward their business expansion to not only Singapore, but also across Asia, and eventually become a role model to leads Japanese female entrepreneurs in the future.
